Your email is encrypted. If signing in with Google Auth to access this application, Spotlight.is encrypts your gmail email in all spotlight.is database(s). You can disconnect your Google Auth Data if you have signed in with Google and after authenticated going to: my.spotlight.is/my_accounts/1

Your email is used internally within the application code as a means to identify your account so that the application knows which posts, networks, and application centered objects belong to you. Your google profile thumbnail is used for online social presence purposes. The application does not share in any way your user data, including your Google data with 3rd parties. During checkout for membership access, Stripe checkout may for your phone number, which Spotlight.is encrypts also. When checking out with Stripe payments, Spotlight.is records payment data to confirm creating your membership account, and also to retrieve necessary data in the case you need help with your account; such as if your payment was successful or you need a refund. This payment info is strictly private between you and the application and again never shared with any 3rd parties. The app's server logs also filters passwords, names, 3rd party information including your full name, email, and the id token from that 3rd party - ie your Google ID is scrubbed from the production log. Spotlight.is gathers and keeps track of: Information that users provide through optional, voluntary submissions. These are voluntary submissions made by You in order to operate the app in creating your posts, and receive the Spotlight.is newsletter which you can opt out on.

Information Spotlight.is gathers through aggregated tracking information derived mainly by tallying page views throughout Our sites. This information allows Us to better tailor Our content to readers' needs and to help Our advertisers and sponsors better understand the demographics of Our audience. Because Spotlight.is derives its revenue mainly from sponsorships and advertising, providing such aggregated demographic data is essential to keeping Our service free to users. Under no circumstances does Spotlight.is divulge any information about an individual user to a third party.

• OPTIONAL VOLUNTARY INFORMATION SUBMISSION Spotlight.is offers the following free services, which require some type of voluntary submission of personal information by users: Electronic newsletters marketing communication. Spotlight.is offers a free electronic newsletter marketing communication to users. Spotlight.is gathers the email addresses of users who voluntarily subscribe to this service. At any time, users are free to remove themselves from this mailing list by following the link provided in every newsletter pointing the user to the subscription management page.
• CHILDREN Consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 ("COPPA"), We will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without first requesting parental consent.
• USAGE TRACKING Spotlight.is tracks user traffic patterns throughout its various features. However, We do not correlate this information with specific data about individual users. Spotlight.is does break down overall usage statistics according to a user's IP address, browser type, and Multipurpose Internet Mail Extension ("MIME") type by gathering such information from the browser string (information contained in every user's browser).
  Spotlight.is sometimes tracks and catalogs the search terms entered by users in Our Search function. However, this tracking is never associated with individual users. We use tracking information to determine which areas of Our sites users like and don't like based on traffic to those areas. We do not track what individual users read, but rather how well each page performs overall. This helps Us continue to improve Our services for Our users.

Because We don't track the usage patterns of individual users, an advertiser or sponsor will never know which particular user clicked their advertisement.
• SHARING OF THE INFORMATION Spotlight.is uses the above-described information to tailor Our content to suit Your needs and help Our advertisers better understand its audience's demographics. This is essential to keeping Our select services free. We will not share information about individual users with any third party, except in order to comply with applicable law or valid legal process or to protect the personal safety of Our users or the public.
